My artwork will be included in the upcoming 13th International ARC Salon Exhibition, which will consist of 89 Contemporary Realist works selected from over an original 3,750 entries from 69 countries and is the most prestigious realist art competition in the Americas and perhaps the world. The ARC Salon Exhibition will be on view at the Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Ave., New York, NY from September 21st—October 2nd, 2018 with the public opening event on Saturday, September 22nd from 11am to 3pm. Entry is free. The exhibition will then travel to Sotheby’s, Los Angeles where it will be on view from December 4th—December 13th, 2018 with the opening reception on December 4th from 6pm to 8pm. The show will then travel to the MEAM Museum, Barcelona, Spain from February 8th—March 31st, 2019, with the opening event and award ceremony starting at 7pm on February 8th. “Dinah” is now in the permanent collection of the Rockwell Museum. The painting was gifted to the Museum by a private collector who viewed it in the AWA exhibition.

The portrait unveiling at Principle Gallery Charleston was an incredible event. The gallery was packed with the families and friends of the Emanuel Nine. The reactions of the family members to the portraits of their loved ones was something I will never forget. I am honored to have had the opportunity to be a part of this portrait project. A big thank you to Principle Gallery for supporting and hosting this event and thank you to the artists: Ricky Mujica, Judy Tackas, Terry Strickland, Stephanie Deshpande, Catherine Prescott, Gregory Mortenson, Mario Robinson, and Paul McCormack for the beautiful portraits!
For the past year I have been working with Principle Gallery Charleston and eight other artists to create portraits of the Emanuel Nine which will be donated to their families on May 29th. The portraits will be available for public viewing at Principle Gallery in Charleston on May 29th from 6-8 pm. I had the great honor of painting Susie Jackson. Artists include: Ricky Mujica, Judy Tackas, Terry Strickland, Stephanie Deshpande, Catherine Prescott, Gregory Mortenson, Mario Robinson, and Paul McCormack.

I am pleased to announce my painting “Least of These” has been selected for the Lore Degenstein Gallery Sixth Annual Juried Figurative Drawing and Painting Exhibition at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA. Opening reception is Oct. 18 from 7-9 pm. The show runs through Dec. 5, 2014. The juror, Pamela Wilson, who I had the honor of meeting is pictured below in front of my painting.

I recently listened to a new art podcast hosted by contemporary painters Tony Curanaj and Edward Minoff called Suggested Donation. The topic was an interview with Graydon Parrish. I highly recommend subscribing to the podcast. Well worth the time.

The April 2014 issue of Artist Magazine is dedicated to the Women Painting Women exhibitions. I am happy to have a painting included in this issue.
January 2014: I am inspired by the work of Andrew Wyeth and enjoy the process of egg tempera. Below you can see two initial stages of the painting as the egg wash is slowly built up.

This was my first experience participating in the Art Renewal Center International Salon. I was thrilled to have two paintings, “Judgment” and “First Cry, Final Breath” selected as finalist for the figurative category. I received the catalogue and was blown away by the talent of contributing artists.
Artists’ House Retirement Show: Lorraine Riesenbach has successfully created a beautiful gallery of the best up and coming artists in the Philadelphia region. After many years of meaningful contributions to the gallery she will be retiring.

APVM is the creation of artist Michael Klein, who curates the work of contemporary realist artists in video format. Past issues have included artists such has Jacob Collins, Antonio Lopez Garcia and Daniel Sprick. Excited to have my painting Vanitas included on the Women Painting Women website.
“Art Journey America: Landscapes, 89 Painters’ Perspectives.” Edited by Kathryn Kipp contains a lovely reproduction and description on my painting “Dusk at Lightening Bluffs,” collection of MJ Settelen Construction. This beautifully printed volume contains 89 images of landscapes by prominent artists across the United States of America.
I am honored to be a second time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant, which has been supporting artists working in the representational tradition.
March 2011 is an exciting time to open my exhibition at Artists’ House Gallery. The exhibition consists of figure and landscape paintings selected from my most recent body of work. These figurative pieces were inspired in part by my observation of the deep spiritual and emotional significance underpinning our basic human relationships.
I am pleased that my work was featured in the March 2011 edition of The Artist’s Magazine. The eight page article included reproductions selected from my work as well as a step-by-step demonstration of a painting in progress. The_Artists_Magazine_March_2011-1
I am honored to have my painting, Vanitas, included in the recently published book “Mutters.” The book features historic and contemporary paintings of artists’ mothers.
I am always happy to have the opportunity to see my paintings in their final homes. Below is a picture of a commissioned painting, Dusk at Lightning Bluffs, for the MJ Settelen Construction, LLC collection which is now hanging in their beautiful new office space.

Inspiring Figures: American Women & Figurative Art Work by American female artists past and present will be exhibited together in a celebration of American women portraying the human figure. Organized by the Portrait Society of America, the exhibit features Butler historic works as well as works by acclaimed contemporary artists in combination with artwork selected from a juried competition. Inspiring Figures is an educational exhibit with programs including podcasts, films, workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and family programming.
